The purpose of the Cushing ISD Distinguished Alumni program is:
To recognize former graduates of the Cushing Independent School District who have achievements or character that serve as a model for current Cushing ISD students.
Through the Distinguished Alumni program, Cushing ISD will honor previous Cushing High School graduates who have set themselves apart from their peers. By recognizing these individual alumni, Cushing ISD will accomplish two goals: 1) bring positive attention to the school district and 2) provide examples to current students of successful members of society who, like them, are Cushing ISD graduates.
Nominating Procedures
- Any person may submit a nomination for consideration to the superintendent.
- Submittal of the completed nomination form provided by the superintendent is required.
- Nominations will be accepted until 4:00 PM on the last Friday in January.
Awards for alumni will be given for achievement in three areas:
Public service/ Volunteerism
Distinct Achievement (for an individual achievement)
Lifetime Achievement (many achievements over time)
