Appropriate Interaction with Law Enforcement
On April 20th Cushing HS held an Appropriate Interaction with Peace Officers Assembly. Students in grades 9-12 learned about how to respond and react to being pulled over in a traffic stop. Officer Ross talked with each grade level about the importance of remaining calm, compliant, and respectful during any interactions with an officer. He discussed the different perspectives from the police officer and the individual being questioned. Understanding the expectations law enforcement has of citizens could help keep our students safe.
