Cushing Pre-K and
Kindergarten classes took
a field trip to the
Moore Farms Pumpkin Patch in Bullard on October 6th. They learned
about how pumpkins are raised and about the different kinds of pumpkins
and gourds. They visited several different stations set up at the
farm
to learn about farm implements used for planting and growing pumpkins.
After some hands on experience in scooping out pumpkin seeds, they took
a hay ride to the field to pick out their own personal pumpkin.
Students also tried their hand at pulling an old plow to see how hard
it was to farm the old-fashioned way. View slideshow > |
