My name is Shane Johnson and I am beginning my 3rd year at Cushing ISD. I have been in law enforcement for more than 12 years. I am also a third generation police officer. I started my career at the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office and later was elected as Nacogdoches County Constable - Pct. 1. I served as Constable for 3 1/2 years and was re-elected for a second term but re-signed to take the position as Chief for the police department at Cushing ISD.
I have been married to my wife Dawn for 17 years. We have two children who attend CISD. Patrick is a sophomore at the high school and Emma is in first grade. We are members of Landmark Baptist Church and Dawn and I organize our youth activities.
